MOPITT measurements enable scientists to analyze the distribution, transport, sources and sinks of CO, a trace gas produced by methane oxidation, fossil fuel consumption and biomass burning. MOPITT has been operational since March 2000. Datasets are available in grided or vector formats (22 km x 22km pixels, available in L2 files, 1x1 degree grid in L3 files).
