Abstract

Only a small percentage of Alaska's freshwater discharge is measured directly. To fill the gaps left by the limited observational network and predict future freshwater discharge, computer modeling is needed. This dataset provides daily modeled streamflow data from a WRF-Hydro/Glacier simulation covering the entire state of Alaska. The forcing data comes from a multi-decadal historical regional hydroclimate simulation with two mid-21st century Pseudo-Global Warming futures over Alaska and the Yukon at 4 km resolution (GDEX dataset d614000 | DOI: 10.5065/ZPSB-PS82). The dataset includes four simulations. Two simulations represent the historical climate (1990-2020), one with glacier streamflow included and one without. The other two are future simulations (Equivalent Water Years 2035-2065) using the Pseudo-Global Warming method under greenhouse gas emission scenario SSP2-4.5, based on the median scenario from d614000. These future simulations also include one with glacier streamflow and one without.
