Nimbus-4 Backscatter Ultraviolet Experiment Total-Column Ozone Observations
d711000

The Backscatter Ultraviolet (BUV) Experiment started in April 1970 aboard the Nimbus-4 satellite. The experiment measured ultraviolet radiation at twelve wavelengths globally on the daylight side, and total ozone was inferred from the radiation measurements. This dataset contains those total ozone data up until the BUV instrument reached its end-of-life in 1977.
