Japan Hachijojima High Resolution Radiosonde Data

This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the THORPEX Pacific Asian Regional Campaign (T-PARC). It includes 146 High Resolution Radiosonde soundings from Hachijojima, Japan released during T-PARC. Hachijojima is located approximately 300 km south of Tokyo. The soundings were typically released twice per day (00 and 12 UTC) from 1 August to 1 October 2008, but additional releases were sometimes made. The soundings are in EOL Sounding Composite (ESC) format.
